Fun at the fair!
We went to the fair yesterday, what a fun day! The day started off slow and then after a nap or 2 we headed to the fair!
We played around, ate some yummy food, and looked at some fun things! Daya loved the lights and the goats! LOL but didnt care for the other animals!

Trouble in the making..
I really think they plan trouble together - but boy do they love one another!
Her color? Early Halloween? Just Nuts?
I am trying to decide what the heck is/was going through Madaya's mind today.
She got into my lipgloss while I was vacuuming and well, I will let these photo's do the talking :)

Of summer that is.
We left Friday August 29th for Williams Lake and stayed until Monday September 1st. We had a very nice weekend celebrating summer's end, Labor Day and Mike's Birthday.
Friday and Saturday it was just us 3, which made it very nice, relaxing and for good time together. We went fishing, played around the park and just relaxed. The resort played movies on the big screen theatre and night and roo enjoyed that alot and allowed us some good family time too! Daddy loved the fishing, and even found the " spot " I think in all by the end of the weekend more than 50 fish were caught! He was loving it!
Sunday Ann, Mom, Dad, Grandma, Grandpa, Kandis, Ryan, Nathan, Vicky, Selina, Morgan, Victoria, Ryan and Olga came out to celebrate Mike's Birtday with a BBQ. It was a great afternoon, and we didnt want anyone to leave, but they all had to!
Maybe next year everyone can make it out - we missed those of you who couldnt!
Sunday night we lost beloved PACI! That made for a not so great night. Daya was a mess, it was cold and we were so tired!
Monday Morning we got up with roo ( about 5am! ) and started loading the van. We had to be home so mike could go to work.
Its sad to see summer go, and most certainly the weather is reminding us its gone, and fall is close. But it was great to have one last camp out. Weve had alot of fun this summer, and now can focus on what we need for next season to be better!!
I have posted some pics below :
Daya found her first Frog. Shes heard of them, but not really experianced them too close - it didnt go to well. I did get her to hold it ONCE and other than that she was ok from a distance :)
Victoria and Morgan had fun fishing - and caught some nice trout! They were so proud of themselves!
Morgan is a wild frog hunter, with the help of victoria they found 6!

Saying Goodbye to summer
Here we are the end of summer.. it has all gone by so fast.
Tomarrow Mike, Madaya and I will be headed to out favorite spot at Williams Lake to celebrate Labor Day weekend together.
We will stay tomarrow ( Friday ) - Through Monday and we will be having a BBQ/Birthday party for Michael out there Sunday. We have invited his family and our family - which is OUR family, and it should be a good time.
So sad to say Goodbye to summer, but happy to be saying it good bye with the ones I love..

I have a close "Cyster"
So many of you that know me, know that I have PCOS ( polycystic Ovarian Syndrome ). Amongst many other issues, PCOS has been the major battle for me for the last 13 years. I have every possible symptom and its very advanced. Along with the PCOS I have many other major attributes that go right along with it for many women : Insulin Resistants and Immune Failure/Blood Clotting , Thyroid Disorder, Infertility, and Clinical Depression
All that I have been through had led me to be very proactive for the PCOS foundation, education and awareness campaigns.
I have many " cysters " who I have been in contact for years and have always assumed it would be one of them that I met, and became close enough with that I would see them all the time, know them and their family and all that comes with that....
Ive been blessed, and have in deed met several women off my support group/board @ http://www.soulcysters.net/, and even talk to some very often - but until recently didnt realize who this woman would be that I would be " close to ".
It all changed about 3 weeks ago :
My sister in law ( I will keep her private until she says I can add her name ) has been having some female issues, for a while now, and displaying some of the symtoms of pcos. Without putting it all together, and for some other reasons she decided to get help, and the outcome of the visits to the dr's was this : 1. ) She may have Ovarian Cancer. There was a large cyst found in her left ovary that alarmed dr's. 2.) She has endometriosis ( Unknown as to what stage yet ) and 3.) She has PCOS and Insulin Resistance ( Which usually go hand in hand ).
This past week they did a hysterectomy and also ended up removing the left ovary. She has the right one, but the results of the cancer biopsy is still unknown at this time.
So... there it is. I have know and been close to my CYSTER the entire time :) .
This is my passion - to share with others the ins and outs ups and downs about this condition.
I wish 13 years ago we would be where we are today. We have dr's who know about IR, and PCOS as well as so many tools to guide us all through this tough process and best of all we have each other.
I know she is going to be wonderful with this, and will not let PCOS define her, just as I havent let it define me. It is not easy, there are battles but god picked another wonderful woman to go through this and spread what we do know. Im so proud to call her my Cyster/SISTER!

A Wii bit excited
We are soooo excited.
A bit wii excited even!
We have ordered our wii bundle and it hasnt come yet. We ordered/bought it on the 15th and it is to be here by the 25th.
Oh how I count the days. Your asking what is a Wii? ( click on the link and see for yourself! )
Its like waiting for christmas when your a kiddo!

Its SOAP Dopes!
So I have a mini rant. It could potentially be a big rant but ill keep it kinda quite.
Apparently the city can now tell us what we can and cant use to wash our dishes.
Are you freaking serious?! I know mother nature needs a hand and stuff, but something are just plan nuts.
First of all I am sure theres WAY more things the goverment can fund rather than how much soap a consumer buys, uses, and where and theres other jobs the people can be doing rather than inforcing a stupid rule.
Apparently theres a Phosphate ban in Spokane. Great... Good thing I live close enough to drive to Idaho.
I currently ( shamefully ) have 3 rinsed loads of dishes sitting in my sink, ready to go in the DW because I just learned about them when my beloved cascade soap ran out!
So rather than making it easy or affordable for people to get replacements heres the options weve been given :
1.) Wash by hand with a milk enviromentally friendly agent : perfect for those who DONT have eczema, and sensitive skin, or I know.... TOO MANY DISHES!
2. ) Buy this " Natural " soap for the dishwasher that is sooooooo over priced, and doesnt work well - I know cause I sampled it!
3.) Buy paper plates and contribute to the landfill situations!
Ugh whatever!
So a local contributer to our paper had a great article as well ... looks like I am only 1 of many frustrated consumers/residents who have a sink full of dishes... NICE

I made the score in broad daylight after a drive to Coeur d'Alene.
Money changed hands. The deal was done in minutes.
Then I toted the container of white powder to the trunk of my car, checking over my shoulder every now and then to see if any spies were skulking about.
Oh, yeah. I bought the real stuff, all right.
Cascade dishwasher detergent.
Nearly 10 pounds.
Enough to keep the family plates, utensils and glassware gleaming for months.
I'm sorry it had to come to this.
I never set out to become a border-crossing, soap-smuggling scofflaw.
But on July 1 the Spokane County dish-washing world was turned upside down. This crazy law prohibits merchants from selling any dishwasher detergents that pack a punch.
And by that I mean phosphates, those magic chemical elves behind every clean kitchen.
Gone from the stores are those tried-and-true brands.
Electrasol. Sun Light.
And my personal all-time favorite – Cascade.
Spokane County consumers must now buy so-called "environmentally friendly" products that are tall on price and short on scrubbing.
Unless you head east like I did, that is.
Ah, North Idaho.
A dish-washin' man is still king in that there land.

Gas is cheaper. There are Hudson's hamburgers.
And nobody interferes with a citizen's soap-buying rights.

I flagged down this young grocer. He jogged my memory about our phosphate ban, which has been called the "strictest in the nation." He pointed to some gel crap in a white plastic bottle. He said I'd have to buy that.
What's happening to this country?

You can't turn around without some overzealous nanny telling you what to eat or when to water your lawn or that you can't smoke your cigar within 25 feet of a toddler.
Seattle officials decided that taxing plastic grocery bags will help clean up the planet.

I was there recently. There are certain sections of downtown where the urine stench will gag a maggot.
I know. The eco-nuts believe that keeping products like Cascade out of the hands of scalawags like me will improve the Spokane River.
Well, I believe in the power of Cascade.
Each time I pour a dollop of that stuff into my washer, the grimiest food-encrusted dishes come out sparkling like diamonds in a Dodson's display case.
It only stands to reason that my dishwater will run into the river and make the fish clean and shiny, too.
Sure, I'm an environmentalist.
Earlier this summer, for example, I wrote about my long-standing infestation of box elder bugs.
Well, a month has passed since I dosed my yard with the Buggslayer insecticide I ordered off the Internet. And as of Friday I'm excited to report that the area I sprayed is box elder free.
Ditto lady bugs.
And ants.
