Yesterday Today and Tomorrow

Welcome once again to a re-done reorganized blog... big changes in store.

Origininally a few years ago I started this blog through a hard time, evolved it into a family blog, and now will reclaim this as primarily my blog.

It is truely my Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow.

The man I love, and was married to for close to 10 years has again decided to leave us. So with this please deal with me as we transition and find our wings.

Please keep any and all comments nice - as I do not have hard feelings at this time to him - only confusion, frustration and hurt.

Keep reading - this will be great therapy!!

WLS Update : A HUGE DIFFERENCE!?

When it comes to my body apparently many are now feeling its ok to give me a report on how I am doing... LOL!
Alot of people keep saying theres a big difference, but then theres a few who see me who say " they cant tell".
I truely dont notice it on myself until my clothes are way different or something. I like many other people who have gone through this am still seeing ME in the mirror. That brings the bad with the good.

Today was good though :)

For the first time in MANY years ( at least 10! ) I shopped in the Minus Section ( you know, as opposed to the Plus size section that I am soooo accustom to) picked up the only pair of shorts the store had left in the color I wanted, noticed it was a size 12, laughed and ...
THEN SMILED!!! They fit fine. Im not happy with how my body is looking/changing and you could see my rollies on the top so I didnt buy them, but it was sure nice to not have to suck in, hold my breath and hope for some gut suckers! LMAO!
I know in a few more weeks, as long as I keep up the hard work they will be loose too, and Ill be laughing at myself but its great motivation! To think a lil over 2 months ago I was snug in some 20's. And now litterally most are completely falling off!

Ive never felt better health wise, I have a ton of energy, a whole new outlook and now a new size! All this hard work is worth it! Its got to be! I changed my life!
I truely know why they say this is the best bonus to the long journey Im taking. And can clearly see why those who DO HAVE THE SURGERY for weight loss are pleased! My honey moon phase will soon be over, and I will find myself struggling to NOT loose weight. That very thought is scarey to me, and uncharted so I do get anxious of whats to come... for now though - learning the healthy ways!

WLS : 2 months out and I know where I am headed

Today marks my 2 month surgiversary!
This week when I saw the sign ( see above )
I knew exactly which way I needed to go... and I am still headed in that direction! I will Succeed!
Everyday still brings new choices, new lessons and new ways of doing things but for the most part I would say I am doing well.
I do have cravings, and I do cave... But I am human.
I am still eating 500-700 calories a day. Trying for 6 meals but more likely getting 3-4 in. I do take both vitamins and my minerals each day though and just this week re-introduced my kidney meds. Sounds silly but really thats ALOT to accomplish!
The scale is somewhere around 176-179lbs and I am holding at a size 14/16.
Im happy! Beyond happy and more than the weight loss, I am so excited to officially announce I AM OFF MOST OF MY MEDICATIONS WITH NO SIGNS OF THEM COMING BACK!!!! After all it has only been 2 months since surgery day!
I have alot to be thankful for... Im happy, healthy and 1/2 way to goal. Life is hard, but good!

Heres my 2 month pics...

Sproutlettes - Day 13

Today is day 13 since our seeds have sprouted.
Just yesterday ( day 12 ) or Jalepeno peppers started sprouting, and our bell's have yet to show. Everything else is thriving. Im not much of a green thumb, but roo takes good care of them, and I am pretty sure they will make it :). We love checking on them daily and I'm teaching her all about it. A new lesson every day. Even grammy gets in on the fun and brought daya 2 little tiny pots of herbs to plant.
Daya loves it!
Our cucumber plants are about 5-6" tall now - WOW IN JUST 8 days from the last post! & are getting ready to bring on their true leafs. I can see them budding.
The tomato plants are still so small but they too are thriving. The chive and basil are growing very well.
We hope to finish the garden outside and move all these plants to that one end of june!
Along with our other veggies we need to plant!
Outside : Madayas sunflower garden is on day 10 and no growth yet at all... the wait is on :). We are working on our landscaping, and yard, and also installing the garden beds ... wont be long now!

Jalepeno's just sprouted!

up close... way close - Cucumber... see the new leaves?

I love a parade...

AND SO DOES ROO!
Tonight was the Annual Spokane Armed Forces Torchlight Parade/Lilac Festival parade.
I took Madaya downtown to enjoy it as we do each year and this year we had a blast. Our friends were here from Federal way and that was a nice and long needed visit so we wrapped it all in one. Madaya adores their little girl, corey, so she had fun playing around.
When the parade started roo was full of smiles, and waves and a hole bunch of funniness. She was dancing and screaming and loved to see all the pretty floats.
I cant wait till she knows why we have the parade and what it means.
For now its all fun.
The weather was perfect, the people were great all in all a wonderful parade this year!
The only thing that would be better is if daddy was there ( he was at work ) Maybe next year?!
Putting on her glow bracelets...

Peeking out the stroller window...

Loving on momma ...

You asked... Ill show

A fellow WLS friend recently had asked why I dont share a lil more as to how my body is transforming on my blog. Theres many reasons but mainly this blog isnt all about me. LOL However I do like to share my journey and it helps so others can see ....So here you go.

I havent had the guts to wear these outfits " out " yet just because I am still soooo self contious of it all. I think I will get better as the rollies go away? Or maybe its time I get some spanx?!
It's amazing to me when I see pics like this cause in my " every day " clothes AKA pajamas lol, I dont see or feel that I have lost anything.

I now weight - according to home scale 179?! Making a loss since surgery of 40+ lbs.
(see ticker on side of blog)

I know my jeans (16) are LOOSE. I was a size 18/20 ( and was snug ) on bottom and 1-2x on top now I dont own 1 top that fits as well as it use too. These tops are XL 14-16 and you can see how they fall. You be the judge. These pics were taken 6 weeks out which was last friday.

I wont have a visit with the surgeons office until july so no idea what my measurements are or anything like that. I did just go back and edit my measurements though, from my 2 week post op - youll have to check those out!

This just in :

My bossy sister in law says I need to have a Pre-Op side by side so you can * really * see the difference.. Here you go boss ;)

Imagine..

Imagine what you would see if you gave a toddler a heaping pile of finger paints and shaving cream...
Imagine what would be inspired by it...
Imagine what would be the outcome of it all...
Imagine our giggles as it all happened.

Painting with finger paints is one of madaya's all time fav activities. Add shaving cream and I think we have a new fav! We had alot of fun though, and its all kid friendly. Who doesnt love that!?
In the beginging... all was clean
The concept

The look that said it was all over ( notice the clean kid )
and...

Its all down hill from here...
Yeah, this should be called the look of trouble!
But man was she proud!

We have sprouted

ok, we havent sprouted but our garden has!

Yesterday ( 5 days past planting ) morning we checked on our garden which we planted the other day are lovingly trying to grow inside and much to our suprise we have sprouts!!!
It looks like our cucumbers have sprouted first and at only 4 days after planting we were all a little shocked to see them already as germination should be 6-10 days!

Here are some snap's of Garden day 5 - Plant day 1 / Sprouted!

Cucumber Plants

Tomato Plant

Today we checked our garden and much like yesterday were delighted to see so much growth. It now looks like everything has begun to sprout. The plants from yesterday are now a good 3""tall and the others have all poked through the soil. Looks like our growing is well under way.

Weve watched them throughout the day its funny to see how much they can change in just a few hours.

Here are todays snap's of Garden day 6 - Plant day 2 / All have sprouted!

The same cucumber plants from yesterday!

Mothers Day

Mothers day already?
In case you didnt know I am a mother all day every day... which naturally means I kind of look forward to the day they actually celebrate me. I beleive mother's day should be EVERY Sunday especially if they could all be like today.
We had plans to go paint some small dishes for me at color me mine, but with saturday's night not being so good we decided other wise. To sum saturday night up no one slept. Madaya came to our bed around midnight and was restless. I couldnt and didnt fall asleep till Mike got home, and Mike didn't get home until 6am this morning ( sunday ) from work.
Mike, Madaya and I finally fell asleep for a few hours and woke up around 10. We decided we would just go look at garden stuff and yard things ( were working on getting that all done up ). So we headed to town and just did that.
We went to home depot where I had a panic attack from all the friggin people so we left there, decided just to go to the grocery store then home.

We went to the store got the stuff for dinner then headed home. Once home we worked outside for a while and just went with the flow.
We had my mom ( Grammy ) come over and we made her dinner and gave her her gifts.
It was a wonderful afternoon, and evening and then we all went to bed early. What more could a momma ask for? I am so blessed to have a loving husband and a daughter whom every day brings me more and more reasons to be so in love with her and she keeps me laughing.

Heres some snapshots of our day.

Happy Mothers day
to all the wonderful mothers, grandmothers, and god mothers I know!

Timber!

We got some action today... from the window that is.

We had a ginormous tree in our back left corner of our yard.
HAD being the key word. Today the arborist came and chopped it down. The tree measured about 130 feet tall and 8 feet round. It was kind of cool to watch.

I didnt have the good camera charged but heres some snapshots!
We are so happy things are improving around here. Sprinklers are also being installed this week and then our grass will be planted :0)
