Yesterday Today and Tomorrow

Welcome once again to a re-done reorganized blog... big changes in store.

Origininally a few years ago I started this blog through a hard time, evolved it into a family blog, and now will reclaim this as primarily my blog.

It is truely my Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow.

The man I love, and was married to for close to 10 years has again decided to leave us. So with this please deal with me as we transition and find our wings.

Please keep any and all comments nice - as I do not have hard feelings at this time to him - only confusion, frustration and hurt.

Keep reading - this will be great therapy!!

WHAT did she just say?! Oh my!

WARNING BAD WORDS AHEAD!!!

Today Madaya and I were running around the house playing. She stopped and ran off to her room, running back down the hall she heads towards me saying " cock mommeeee cock " I was mortified and asked what she said, to slow down
She says.. " cock cock mamma cock " I about flipped... for it sounded just as it was really that.

I got up to see what she was talking about, and she ran off,
about 2 minutes later she comes out again, and with great laughter says see momma daddy cock cock mommeee.... ( yes, shes building sentances ) I said daya dont say that and she looked puzzled and held out her box of CHALK!!!!!

So were working on it. Could you imainge " daddy cock daddy cock! " AHHHH i would be mortified if people heard it.

Yes, She is THAT amazing.

I took this photo of roo on the beach on Anderson Island.
With the help of a friend this is what it is...

Yes, she really is that amazing :)

Madaya Evans 21 months

Heya Heya!

Well here goes another week come and gone, and I just now remember to post a blog.
This one really is for Daya to see someday, and for Daddy and I to remember stuff.
We were sitting in the living room lastnight and noted a few things that we needed to remember to add to her blog, so here they are :

1.) Daya says the funniest things. When asked a question ( like choose chicken or burgers ) she goes " Ummmmmmmmm " with a long drawn out puzzled look on her face.

2. ) We told daya to go ride her giraffe ( refering to her rocker in the living room thats a giraffe ) She ran off to her room brought out her 8" stuffed giraffe and litterally rode it!

3.) She said she had to go potty .... went to the bathroom and sat on the potty.... THE DOLL HOUSE POTTY THAT IS!! its about 3" tall at max, and there she is all squated down on it.

Every day is something soooo new with her and I am absolutely loving being around all day again to see it. Daddy gets to hear it all and see it all too which is amazing!

:) roo keep us laughing sweet thing!
Much love Daddy and Mommy

Weekend getaway

Michael, Madaya and Myself have been planning on going to the west side of the state for some time now for my sister, Shannons wedding. When we planned this we kinda thought we would wrap some other things into the same trip to save time and money. So thats exacty what we did. We had our neice Victoria go with us, for a lil get away too since her brother had just been to camp. It was a good time had by all ...
Friday August 1st we headed to that side, where we ended up stopping in Renton Washington for a good nights sleep. We stayed at the hilton garden in ( If your wanting a great price for a ohhh so luxurious room its your place ) and then got up saturday to head to the ferry. My sister lives on anderson island so its a bit of a trek. We caught the ferry, got to the island and preceeded with the wedding. Madaya was the flower girl and for never seeing any of these people or things she did fabulous. Not to mention she was so tired, no nap and hungry to boot. After the wedding we went to the beach to play around, and take some photos of the wedding party ( no i will not be posting those wedding photos here for privacy reasons ). After that we caught the 8pm ferry and headed to Tacoma to stay/see our friends shanna and scott and their kiddos. We got there around 9:30 settled in and had a good night. The next day we got up and headed to Meet Grandpa and Grandma Pemberton for lunch - we met at famous daves. SOOO yummy. Seriously good BBQ food. We visited with them for about 2 hours - they had come from Aberdeen and had errands to run and we were headed to the point defiance zoo and aquarium.
We had fun roaming the zoo for a few hours, and then the kiddos were getting tired. ME Too!! so we headed back to shanna and scotts and had a BBQ and a game of Bocce ball then headed to bed.
Monday we got up and headed to see mikes friend Dave, who has a farm and we played there for a couple of hours too.
The girls loved meeting all the animals - the horses, cows, goats, donkey and running around the fields.
We had to head home though so we only stayed 3 hours.
We took whites pass home, and the trip went relativly well... toria got car sick? ( unsure if it was that or a virus ) but was sick along the way that was windy roads.. once we made it to the free way she was fine, and we proceeded home just fine.
The car did act weird atop whites pass - it lost power like a fuel pump issue, but once we pulled over and sat and re-started it never happened again?! Maybe bad gas?

At anyrate it was soooo nice to get away and we totally enjoyed ourselves.
here are some of our favorite photos from the weekend!

Enjoy!!

D day...

so maybe its not " D " day but it is D' day I leave my job.
Its bittersweet really,
and I kind of thought it would be easier than this to go... its not easy at all.
I love so many of the people, and I absolutely adore the kiddos I get to work with day in and day out. But I cannot handle the politics and my boss. In general if they could find away around that ( oh yeah and do with out the cliques of the wanna be whatevers ) it could be a great career home, here with my orginization.
None the less I am done.
I am working late tonight, and the smell of the roses that the nurses from Child and Family bought for me is filling my desk with the sweetest smell of accomplishment.
Im proud of all I have done, and I am so happy to be returning to one of the best jobs ever. Staying home with Madaya.
My mind is filled with alot of questions as to if we truely are on the right track, and if things will be ok, but I know deep down they will be.
Mike seems happy with all of this too... its time.
I cant wait to get my health back on track ( I was doing soooo well before working ) and back to normalcy.

Good by SMH, and Good luck. And thank you for adding this chapter to my life story!

I dont know where time goes... UPDATE

Its time for an update, and I am so sorry its been a few days ... ok 10 to be exact.

Things have been so busy, and there never seems to be enough time in our day.

I have great things to update about however so perhaps youll forgive me?

Several :

1.) Mike did get the job he wanted. It was a hard choice and he had a couple to pick from. He is working for Qaulity foods, a divison of Golden State foods. They offered him a package he couldnt turn down. The pay will be that of what he was making prior to our own business ( approx 50 a year ) and the benefits for him, madaya and myself are amazing. We are very blessed... best of all ....... Not much away from home time at all. If anything 1-2 nights a week MAYBE! so we are super excited.

I am so proud of him and how far hes come. Hes doing wonderful. He starts this job officially 7/30!

2.) Mommy is going to be home with Madaya. After much talk and debate amongst us we agree its best to have me home. I work esentially to pay daycare, and with that and the medical issues in myself and daya lately its just not worth it. We're looking forward to this new chapter and hopefully things will turn for the better even more so. Mommy will be home starting 8/1!!!

3.) We are about to take our first family trip this summer. Outside of camping ( to the lake sometimes on the weekends ) this will be madayas, daddys and mommys first summer trip. We will be going to Anderson Island Washington for my sisters wedding, then to the tacoma zoo, and to see grandpa and lisa pemberton! How fun! We leave 8/1 - come home 8/5! I am hoping to have some pic's to share when we return. Daya will be the flower girl in the wedding - this will make her 2nd wedding!

4.) Daya has been using the potty pretty regularly... were doing great, and on board to have her done by her birthday! WOOOOOO whoooo!!!
Fingers crossed!

Alright I best get done... Ill update soon!

Love April

when all else fails... go to the lake!

And I am not kidding. When all else fails... GO TO THE LAKE! Things have been so nutty this past week. I am so exausted with work. Emotionally I just cant handle anything more, Im a grump to daya and daddy and I just dont like it. Physically I am so sore, achy and just in general having alot of pain that its all I can do to roll over in bed - when I get the chance to rest. I would say the stress is getting to me for sure. So... Saturday Mike, Madaya and I stopped by Dee's house ( she had her house warming party ) and then we all headed out to the lake ( we all as in Mike, Me, Madaya ) Kandis and Ryan met us there too. We had a nice camp spot, and Turtle let us use her tent ( THANKS DANIELLE! ) so we stayed the night, and then got up sunday to play the day away. Sunday afternoon Selina and the kiddos met us out there and we had a blast. Swimming, Splashing and lots of SUN! ENJOY!

Daycare? Oh lordy...

Why do they call it daycare if they dont seem to care?
Ive had bad feelings about putting madaya in daycare since day one, but as you know it had to be done. I cant be home with her and work too. :(

I thought I had found a great place and after only a week of being there Madaya was so happy to go every day. Now, about 2 months into it shes started crying alot when I drop her off and in general just not happy with being left. I dont know why or what was happening, but I think we figured it out this week.

She came home 7/3 with a kid bite on her forehead. They gave me her incident report form and said that it wouldnt happen again, the mark was on her forehead above her left eye and very visable as it had broken the skin.

Upon giving her a bath that night we found another simular looking mark on her left shoulder area, the poor thing had 2 bites in one day! I wasnt happy!

I called to ask what happend and of course they give me the darn run around....

Come friday Morning she had full blown pink eye in the left eye and was miserable, lets ad this to being 4th of July and we pretty much figured the poor girl wasnt having a good day.

Im so mad at daycare right now I could spit.

As if I wasnt missing being home with her enough we have to go through this....

God please let there be a way for one of us to be home with our baby!

Madaya's gone fishin!

Today we took Madaya out to williams lake for the day where we played, fished, swam and had a BBQ. We took madaya fishing for the first time, and she loved it. She was really interested in the worms in the container though ( See photos ) and she adored riding in the boat.

We didnt catch anything, but we did get to show her what a fish looks like...

and of course funny story here :

Mike has tought madaya that fishes are sushi.... She loves the word sushi ( i tought her that ) but he tought her what sushi is so now she always calls fish sushi. So we seen the fish in the lake and all she says is " hi sushi " shes so silly!

so after a fun day of play we stuffed our selves with hot dogs and the side dishes and then went night fishing and headed home.

We are planning on doing this again, only staying the night hopefully as it would make it easier to settle roo in.

Enjoy these pics!

4th of July

Today was a cool day! some pretty neat things happened :

- Today marked 1 year since madaya sat up on her own ( she did it at riverfront park while waiting to see fireworks last year )

- Madaya turned 21 months old! She now weighs 20lbs and is 31"!!! Shes wearing 6/9 month shirts, and some 12 month pants. Size 2-3 diapers and she can say about 30 words. Shes bigger every day

- Independance Day

Ok so maybe its not all that special to some but to us its oh so neat!

Our baby is growing!

We had a blast today. Madaya wasnt feeling well most of the day so we stayed home, but then in the evening we went down to riverfront park to watch the fireworks. We played around, rode a few rides, and then found our space on the grass where we waited for the " show " to start... wasnt much of a show and we were pretty dissapointed but it was fun none the less.
Madaya as usual fell asleep 1/2 way through it so she missed the finale and most of the sights...

it was a truely wonderful day!

Happy 4th of July! Happy Independance Day America!
