So it was a very sunny day, Sunday June 15th! You know what else it was? Fathers day! A wonderful day at that!
The morning started out with us waking up to the sound of Madaya yelling " Dadda " " Momm--EE " and then its all more wonderfulness from there. I went into her room, got her out of her crib, and took her to the front room where her and I finished daddies card and gifts up. Daya put her hand print in his card she helped mommy pick out and then wrote inside it - well we will call it " write " but it looked more like cat scratch's! ( see photos )
She then was all too happy to run down the hall towards Daddy who was still in bed holding the envelope out so proudly. She sat on our bed and watched him ever so happily reading his card, as she sat there with her feet crossed and her lil smile on her face I think she truely knew that she was making her daddy soooo happy.
After he read his card she gave him his main gift. I had taken his wedding band and had it re-finished and engraved with a heart and Madaya's name on the inside. I wanted this to be a tradition with each of our children we would/will ever have, so lets start with now huh?! He loved it, and she just smiled away!
After the ring, I handed him the shirt that Madaya picked out herself. It is black with a harley and a eagle on it. That says born to ride hard!
The wonderful wakeup was only the begining to a completely wonderful day.
We all 3 got dressed, headed to breakfast and then to costco for diapers and such.
When we returned home, roo went down for her nap, and mommy and daddy finished some things around the house.
At 1 we headed to Liberty Lake park where we had plans to have a BBQ with daddy's side of the family and thats exactly what we did.
The food was great, the weather was beyond amazing and the company was a delight. It was a good time all around - and 6 hours later on our way home all 3 of us were as tired as tired could be.
Happy Fathers Day Michael and
SUNNY DAYS!!! keep chasing the clouds away!
